The SPIN Project

Personnel on the SPIN project evaluate, re-design, and modify database and data structures software for the U.S. Air Force. The SPIN software is a part of the B2 CATT (Computer Assisted Technology Transfer) project. Mr. Fan, Ms. Fan (no relation), and Mr. Zhang all completed theses as a result of their work on the SPIN project. Although we do not anticipate any journal articles or conference presentations as a result of this work, several technical reports have been produced as a result of this project. Most are available from the Oklahoma State University Computer Science Department or the Oklahoma State University Library. Some report titles and their access numbers are:

Fan, Michael Z., Yenpeng Zhang, R. Allen DiVall, and G.E. Hedrick. Overflow analysis in SPIN. Stillwater,OK: Computer Science Technical Report OSU-CS-TR-96-01, 1996.

Fan, Michael Z., Yenpeng Zhang, R. Allen DiVall, and G.E. Hedrick. Review of a new spatial indexing technique. Stillwater, OK: Computer Science Technical Report OSU-CS-TR-95-02, 1995.

Zhang, Yunpeng, R. Allen DiVall, M.Z. Fan, and G.E. Hedrick. An experimental analysis of a new multi-dimensional storage and retrieval method. Stillwater, OK: Computer Science Technical Report OSU-CS-TR-95-04, 1995.
