The First International Workshop on Intelligent Application in Product Lifecycle Management |
|
Intelligent Application has been proven success in product design and development. In the last decade, Intelligent Application has reduced product time-to-market, increased concurrent engineering activities and enhanced design changing process. With the emerging paradigm of Product Lifecycle Management, Intelligent Application is the key technology to deliver next generation solution to the product development industry. Product Lifecycle Management allows companies to view product development as lifecycles instead of independent processes. It has opened up the new horizon for Intelligent Applications. Systems like CAD (Computer Aided Design), CAM (Computer Aided Manufacturing), and CAE (Computer Aided Engineering) are advancing in all directions everywhere from ergonomics and eco-technology to simulation and virtual reality. Business systems, such as CRM (Customer Relationship Management), ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) and SCM (Supply Chain Management) are also developed rapidly to satisfy the ever-changing market needs. These underlying applications are generating unlimited opportunities for the Intelligent Application. The aim of this workshop is to bring together academics, researchers, developers, practitioners, and users in the areas of Intelligent Applications in Product Lifecycle Management. It will serve as a platform for networking, exchange of research ideas, practical applications and best practices. Topics of interest include but are not limited to: Intelligent Product Design Knowledge-based Engineering Intelligent Manufacturing Design Business Intelligence Business Rules Systems Intelligent Business Processes Intelligent Management Systems Knowledge Management Business/Engineering/Manufacturing Ontology Engineering Knowledge Representation Other Intelligent Applications |
